Experiencing NEW Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Fluid Foundation & Bases

Hi hi

This afternoon, I got to experience a base makeover by Clé de Peau Beauté featuring a few of their new base products - and I will quickly share with you my experience and first impressions. I will definitely follow up this entry with a indepth review of the products I will be testing out in the next few weeks. I hope you are enjoying this new 'style' of updates - basically I will try to upload stuff which I get to do on a daily basis, such as previews etc etc where I got to snap a few pics and accompanied by my thoughts. Nothing too formal nor detailed, but a way to just talk through casually because it is quite easy and do-able for me to catch up this way. Then after I have the chance to give the products a good run, I will follow up with proper reviews and all that good stuff.

So anyway, here are the new Clé de Peau Beauté that I got to try out - they are all NEW and already available at the counters:

1. Radiant Fluid Foundation (8 shades availave here)
A completely new type of foundation that veils the skin with layers of light making your complexion lustrously dewy and irresistible. Clé de Peau Beauté technology controls the foundation powder particles on the skin's surface for a new level of beauty. Like liquid radiance, there's never been a finish quite like this.

2. Correcting Cream Veil & Sheer Fluid Veil - create a radiant base, enhancing your makeup. Delicately light and deeply moisturising, they smooth onto the skin to draw out its natural radiance. Perfectly enhances the beauty of bare skin while it maximises the look and longetivity of your finish.

3. Fluid & Cream foundation brush - exquisitie makeup brush designed specially for foundation - each individual brush hair is crafted to allow for uniform application of foundation, to create a veil of light for a radiantly perfect finish.

4. Two new shades of the Concealer - Almond & Mocha

Clé de Peau Beauté lead makeup artist, Terence tried out the new base products on me. He removed my base (leaving just my brows and lippy) and proceed to prep my skin, and apply the Correcting Cream Veil - I was somehow more keen to try this, even though the Sheer Fluid Veil is really designed for our hot climate.

Immediately I noticed a smoothing of my skin texture. There is also a very subtle brightening effect (but not as brightening or as opaque as the brightening base). The effect is very very refined. He applied this base using fingertips.

Next, Terence applied the new Radiant Fluid foundaiton with the new brush - it is quite a small paddle shaped brush - very soft, and did not create any streaks at all. It took a bit of time before foundation was applied all over my face (cos my face is that big... haha) but I can see how the size of this brush creates a very flawless finish and is able to reach into the little nooks of your face contour - but you must have the patience for this brush to cover your face area. That's really up to your personal preference, as you can always use your own preferred method of application.

Here's a pic after the foundation is applied :

I must the foundation sets quite fast into the skin, during the application, it feels like skincare - there's a glow and the scent of the product (if you are familiar with Clé de Peau Beauté product scents) is just a really luxurious process. The coverage of the foundation is medium I would say. But very very lightweight. Even though it is so liquidy - it just coats your skin so nicely.

and after lightly setting the centre of my face with their sheer pressed powder and some blusher on the cheeks -
Terence also applied the new extra rich lipstick in 111 on my lips for a natural pink flush.

Overall, I really like this CLEAN and radiant look.

Ready for my close up - because I am that confident that this routine seems to look really flawless. All the products used seem to feel really moisturising.and a couple more shots because I really wanted to capture the finish of the foundation.

Some quick thoughts -

The new base products seem quite impressive, in particular, the finish and the formula. I will definitely be testing them out in terms of lasting power - especially because the sheer fluid veil is supposed to help your makeup adhere better even when you are sweating. That certainly sounds very promising!

Price information for the new Clé de Peau Beauté base products:

Radiant Fluid Foundation S$175
Correcting Cream Veil S$100
Sheer Fluid Veil S$100
Concealer (new shades, Almond & Mocha) $116

And while I was at the counter, I also took the chance to swatch all the new Clé de Peau Beauté eye quads - 302 and 305 are really calling out to me! I have 306 which I will be featuring in an upcoming entry soon. The newly formulated quads are really smooth and creamy. I like the combo of colors and how the shimmer bits are really refined and smooth.

Hope these swatches are helpful!

That's all I have for this quick update, and thanks for reading!
