NARS Audacious Lipsticks Round Up & #NARSBestDressedLips Contest Info!

Just sharing with you my top picks for the NARS Audacious Lipsticks - and my final overall thoughts. I hope you have the chance to check out all four installments of the lipsticks! Also in this entry is an exciting contest which leads up to the launch of the lipsticks. I hope you are just as excited about these new lipsticks as I am!

So it was a weekend of massive swatching and testing of the lipsticks - I already tested them as soon as I received the 40 shades, wearing them out, and also getting some of my friends to try out the shades on themselves. As usual, the reds really draw me in, in particular the deeper shades of red which I felt were richer in tones, and apply more flatteringly across all skintones. The brighter reds work fine on me, but might end up looking quite different depending on your skintone and own lip color.

While this seems to be quite a creamy moisturising formula, you do need to prep your lips especially if they are dry before application. Or else, like any other lip product, it will tend to settle into deeper lines and cracks of your lips. I don't really have problem with this personally so I was able to give them all a good run quite easily enough.
I also did not experience any staining of the lips, and re-application was easy, especially for the more natural hues in this collection.

For the darker shades - which I wore to Sephora's beauty night out (I think I wore Sandra and Lana in the centre of my lips) There was minor feathering around the lips after a couple of hours but nothing very noticeable to others, and which you can fix with the use of a lip pencil.

The reds are just simply mesmerising!

And here's a round up of my top picks - 12 of them no less!

Charlotte - a wearable wine shade that isnt too deep and quite brightening on my face overall.
Audrey - which is like Charlotte - but slightly muted and a tad more rose-y.
Brigitte - which is my fave nude out of the group - it's not too pink, not too beigy, not too peachy. A nice MLBB color for me.
Vera & Vivien are like Charlotte & Audrey's violet twins (LOL, does that make any sense?)
Vera has that stained wine look again, like Charlotte, but slightly plummier? And Vivien is in the same tone but slightly muted.
And we have Michiyo - the only shocking pink in this collection which I like because I find the other pinks too milky/ light for my liking. Michiyo is like Schiap (not as milky white), it is like NARS YU which I love, and would be perfect with NARS Priscilla.

I am colour-biased I know.. but the reds & bolds really impressed me!

Lana - a creamier version of NARS Heatwave & NARS Red Square. It is a little too slippery creammy for my everyday preference, so I would like to pair this with Heatwave or Red Square just to amp up the impact and make a real statement Red Lip indeed.

Annabella - this is like the RED cousin of Greta - a bright raspberry red. I think this is quite a unique red in my collection...so I must have this.
Carmen - this is Jungle Red in the Audacious formula. It is a true neutral red.

Jeanne, Sandra & Olivia - Okay, I don't need all three seeing as they are so similar. But Sandra is actually a very wearable way to wear a Red cos it is not too bright, and it is not too dark/vampy. My sister, Beverley, LOVES reds like this. Besides, sometimes the typical red is overdone...and this is something very different and quite elegant in my opinion.

I hope that you found my recommendations helpful (though I am highlighting all the bold shades) but these are just what I feel works for me when I do feel like wearing lip colors.
