Before I begin this post, an apology is LONG overdue- I’ve neglected blogging this summer and I feel so bad for letting it go this long without an update. Long story short, I just completed a summer internship that was quite possibly one of the greatest learning experiences I’ve had in my career (so far). It was my first professional experience post-college, and I really put everything into it. As a result, I feel more excited than ever to land my first *real job* and pursue what I’m most passionate about.

That being said… from now on, I’m going to try my best to make blogging a priority. Blogging can very quickly turn into it’s own full-time position, but being active in this community, making such great friendships, and being able to share my hobby with others is such a wonderful thing. I hope you all will forgive me for being absent this summer- I look forward to catching up with some of my favorite bloggers, as well!

In other beauty news, I was recently sent a few colors from the Sinful Colors Silk Satin & Full Throttle nail polish collections. Some were lovely, some were not as lovely… but I wanted to share my honest opinions with you. If you’ve spotted these collections and were curious about trying them, keep reading for my swatches and review!

First up, we have three polishes from the Silk Satin collection: Prime Purple, Matte About Blue, and Real Teal. Take a peek!

Prime Purple is a feminine shade of lilac purple with a creme finish.

Matte About Blue is a bold, deepened cobalt blue with a slight shimmer finish.

Real Teal is a deep teal green packed with shimmer.

Out of the two new summer collections, I have to say I was most excited to try these Silk Satin polishes- the demi-matte silk texture sounded so cool. Sadly, I just wasn’t super impressed by the formula on all three of these polishes. They required 3 coats for even coverage, and application wasn’t ideal. The colors are gorgeous- Matte About Blue is stunning, and I love the delicate appeal of Prime Purple- I just wish the formula was better. Sad face.

Next is three shades from the Full Throttle collection:

Race Rubber is a deep, blood red with a creme finish. Love this one for fall!

Rain Rubber is a brightened sky blue with a creme finish.

Burn Rubber is a vibrant, yellow-based orange with a creme finish.

I had SUCH a better experience with these polishes from the Full Throttle collection! They all covered nicely in 2 coats and didn’t give me huge issues with application (Race Rubber and Burn Rubber went on a bit thick, so applying thinner coats worked better). If you’re not a fan of textured finishes, these probably aren’t up your alley- though I personally love the spot-on rubber finish. Race Rubber has to be my favorite!

You can find these Sinful Colors polishes at Walgreens for $1.99 each.

Have any of you tried these shades? If you have, definitely share them to social media and tag Sinful Colors! Twitter: @SinfulColors_NP, Facebook: Sinfulcolors Professional. (You can tag me, too.

Thanks SO much for reading, and have a wonderful rest of your weekend! XOX
