I SPY A LITTLE GUY

I walked into the living room the other day and there was Sailor, sitting at the old desk that doesn’t get much use now that Birdie has sprouted into a giant child and prefers to sit elsewhere. There he was, settled quietly with paper and pen in had. Coloring, scribbling, writing perhaps? He stayed for well over 30 minutes, just by himself making art and totally content. He eventually wore holes in the paper, crumpled it, and ripped it into tiny pieces. Maybe that’s a part of his process, I’m not sure, but since then he has grabbed countless pieces of plain white printer paper and various writing utensils and planted himself in that tiny seat to create his many masterpieces. It’s one of my many favorite things about this boy.

See a little Birdie in the same yellow desk here and here.
