A CRAVING FOR COOKIES

I had a major craving for chocolate chip cookies this weekend. When I searched the web for “the best chocolate chip cookie recipe”, I kept coming across this one from The NY Times. Excited to give them a try, we picked up all of the ingredients and made the dough. That’s when I noticed that this particular recipe calls for at least 24 hours of chilling time, before baking. Kind of a bummer when you’re craving cookies right now, but we were patient and waited until today to bake. They were definitely worth the wait. These cookies are the best I’ve ever made, complete with crisp edges and soft and gooey centers. I think the sprinkle of sea salt on top was my favorite part. I’ll be keeping this recipe around for awhile and highly recommend!

Our weekend has been overwhelming and packed with so much, but we still managed to carve out some time to make cookies. Sometimes you just have to bake to maintain your sanity, even if you burn the last batch. Hope you all had a good one!
