6 Signs That I am Getting Older

It's inevitable. We are all getting older. Some days my advancing age slaps me in the face and I have to stop and really wonder if I am starting to actually act my age (gasp). It's funny; age is really nothing but a number. I know how old I am but yet I still feel like I did when I was years younger.
Until I catch myself doing one of the following things. Then it hits me in the face. I'm getting old.
Noise Noise seems to bother me more. Music does not have to be blasted does it? I may have even once or twice yelled for my daughters to "Turn that music down! I can't hear myself think!" It's like I opened my mouth and my mother spoke.
Dining Early When I go out to eat I like to go early. I hate sitting and waiting for a table. Maybe this is a carry over from when my daughters were younger and I dreaded having to entertain three young girls when they were hungry and no table was available. If I start to order coffee with my dinner like the senior citizens do then we really know I'm in trouble.
Cold I am always freezing. At work, my co-workers blast the AC all summer long. I sit in my office with a blanket over me to stay warm. I have also been known to carry a sweater with me when we go out in the summer because restaurants and bars crank the AC too. Last week the temperatures dipped into the high 50's. You better believe I had my fireplace lit.
Losing Spontaneity I get an idea and would love to follow through but now my older brain starts thinking of repercussions. I don't do much without considering all the angles and possible outcomes. I used to just go with the flow; now I can think of a few reasons why maybe something isn't worth doing. I am becoming more realistic and at times more responsible (which sounds great but isn't always fun).
Styles You know you are getting old when styles that you wore in high school are coming back in style. High waisted shorts? Check. Acid washed jeans? Those too. I'm still waiting for the tight rolled jeans to make a reappearance.
Lyrics and Videos I am now that person whose jaw drops when she hears the lyrics of songs. I don't consider myself a prude at all but still, some of these lyrics are pretty bad. Maybe you don't realize how bad til you hear your children singing about things that they have no business knowing about at their age. Nothing makes you feel old like music today.
What things make you feel like you are getting old?
