real parents…working mum

Having your home and your office in the same place is not always easy …and definitely requires some multi-tasking. Curious children constantly asking questions, arguing, being hungry or just longing for a cuddle. Nevertheless, it is fantastic to see how it still works out. You just need to keep your cool.

Which is, to be honest, quite a challenge as we are shortly before the opening of our exhibition. And it’s always when you are under pressure, that the most annoying things happen. Like when the car of gallery owner Kirsten was towed away. Being immersed in work she totally forgot to buy a parking ticket. This is going to be expensive. We tried to make the best out of it and did a little spontaneous dance in front of the towing company.

At last it was the day of the inauguration of our exhibition with the title “Ping Pong”. It was a great night with a colourful crowd. Hardly knowing anyone here in L.A. had the pleasant side-effect that we’ve been a lot less nervous than usually. Actually, there was not too much time to get really nervous anyway…
