shop news: fall fabrics

chilly weather is settling in, and fall fabrics are starting to arrive! here are some highlights of the 300 yards of fabric that showed up on my doorstep over the last week.

I can’t wait to get stitching with some of these gorgeous, soft, and just downright cozy shetland flannels from Robert Kaufman. they are thick enough to be used for garments and would make lovely patchwork as well.

two new stretch sateens (in azure and black) have been added to the shop, and these are perfect for pants, jackets, and dresses. they have a slight sheen and 3% spandex content gives them a little give for extra comfort.

made from 100% cotton, this 8 oz black washed denim is medium to heavy weight and would make fabulous clothing for children and adults. other denims in the shop: light-weight railroad denim, medium weight white stretch denim.

this new double cloth cotton is reversible, brown on one side and multi-colored plaid on the reverse.

thinking about getting some double gauze for holiday sewing projects? here are some fun combinations including some prints new to the shop… construction vehicles, owls and mushrooms, and even alice in wonderland! see all of the double gauze prints in the shop right here.

last nut not least, new knits!! these two prints from Jeni Baker’s Geometic Bliss just arrived today. you can see all of the Art Gallery knits in the shop right here, including all of the knit prints from Leah Duncan’s Gramercy line.

happy stitching!
xo, rachael
