Current Skincare Favorites

It is scary to think that at 33, I’m rapidly nearing my mid-thirties. Lately I’ve been giving a lot of thought to my skincare needs and ramped up my routine a bit. I’m starting to develop some fine lines around my eyes and mouth, they aren’t very visible but prevention is better than a cure. Funnily enough I still get regularly ID’d (which is annoying at 33).

So these are the 5 wonder products that I love so far you’ll almost definitely have read lots of rave reviews about one of them. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair – I hesitated to succumb to this one as at £48 a bottle it is very pricey but a little goes a long way with this one. I’ve not been using it long but am already starting to reap the rewards. It is non-greasy, doesn’t have an unpleasant odor and comes in a well designed bottle. The Pipette allows you to dispense only as much as you need. I apply this nightly before my moisturiser.

Another fab product, again by Estee Lauder is Resilience Lift Extreme Extra Firming Mask. I haven’t seen any firming qualities yet and my skin doesn’t actually need firming but it left my skin silky smooth and removed the dry areas and left it feeling exfoliated. My makeup had a much better base to work with after using this.

L’Oreal Age Perfect Cleansing Milk was a budget buy that I stumbled across while food shopping. It cleanses well and doesn’t leave my face feeling like I cleansed with sandpaper. Left my face feeling clean and soft.

L’oreal age perfect eye cream hydrates the eye and leaves them feeling refreshed. It is never too early to start using an eye cream. This one is quite light in texture (a bit like greek yogurt) but it works well and my eyes are thanking me for it.

Last but not least – L’oreal Skin Perfection Instant Blur. This stuff is AMAZING! Applies like a dream and it really does blur your lines and pores. I apply it after my foundation but you can apply it underneath or wear it on it’s own. Amazing stuff and I’m such a big cynic when it comes to outlandish claims by beauty brands.
