Rio De Janeiro Part I

First days in Rio De Janeiro. When we arrived it felt brutally hot even though the sun wasn’t even shining, by now we’re slowly getting used to the climate. We already went to see the Sugar Mountain (we actually walked the first half) and the Cristo Redentor (we actually walked the whole way, it took us 4 hours and we saw snakes crossing our paths) and it’s good fun so far.

Copa Cabana and most of the other beaches are very touristy as expected and the food around these areas is terrible. Cheap hamburgers everywhere. The best food seems to be available in the favelas from our first experiences, it’s very simple and tasty. The people there are great, too! Can’t wait for the next couple of days!
