Today’s Sunday Beauty Steal isn’t one to miss. I love discovering a fab drugstore/high street mascara. I basically feel like doing a mini fist pump when I come across one – it’s basically like buying one and getting one free as they are half the price of high end mascaras and usually do a better job too. This was just the case when I met the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara in Ultra Black.

Over the years, I’ve become a huge fan of a synthetic/rubber mascara wand, I find it can do things to your lashes that the traditional ones can’t. This mascara wand in particular is in the shape of a cylinder, giving your lashes some 360 degrees of loving. I find the shape of it and the positioning of its bristles really help lift and curl my lashes, as you can see from the pictures above. These pictures are also without me curling my lashes before hand – could you imagine what they look like if I had?!

I find popping around 2 layers does the trick for me. My lashes are left curled, fanned out and fierce with this particular mascara. I for one love switching up my mascara of choice every time I finish a tube – I love finding new ones. But I think I will be keeping this one close to my heart as I have kind of fallen in love with it!
