Handspun Baby Cardigan
Apparently I haven't had enough with the knitting of baby cardigans. I thought I had, but my need for something to do kept bringing more of them to my plate.
(ironically now I have too much on my plate!)
This one is made from some handspun I dyed back in 2010. I was just experimenting with dye on some smaller chunks of mystery blend roving I had purchased. Here are the mini rovings braided
The Cardi is two different small skeins knit in stripes. They both had similar greens so I thought I'd go for it. Probably not enough contrast at the top and bottom, but it works.
I used the free Garter Yoke Baby Cardi pattern. (ravelry

I've made this before (
here) and did everything in similar fashion to what I did before.
Basically the three main differences from the original patter are:
A - Stockinette on the yoke instead of garter (makes the yoke longer)
B - Straight garter stitch button bands - no I-cord.
C - Stopped sleeves right at the dividing line and started into the Garter stitch cuff.
I had trouble finding orange or green shank buttons but thought these little brown buttons made a nice compliment.
