Don't sweat it. It's been said that unplanned moments are always better than planned ones. The same goes for getting dressed. After years of trial and error, multiple outfit changes in single time windows, and constant experimenting, I've learned that my favorite outfits always end up being the ones unplanned... and usually on the floor. Maybe because during the last few minutes in a hectic time crunch, there's no elaborate thought process or debate, no inner critic to tell you every negative aspect, and when the clock quickly ticks, intuition takes over and you gravitate more towards your favorite pieces. The result always turns out being most true to your style.
