lace up

i seem to incorporate a bit of lace into quite a few outfits, in that ‘not quite feminine’ way i consistently create for myself.

i often wonder why i like a material considered so ‘girly’ when my percentage of femininity is basically zero, but then again i am known for my ironic choices in life. a simple lace slip dress (by the masters over at lover) under a loose, slightly mannish blush button down seems a perfectly logical choice, especially when paired with a pair of my fave slip ons (although heels would have worked surprisingly well). as the weather is getting progressively cooler the dresses will be replaced with more leg coverage but an assortment of tapered and/or neoprene pants should get me through.
