Black candy apples with marshmallow webs recipe

Hello lovelies!

I had seen lots of lovely shiny black candy/toffee apples on Pinterest which made me want to make my own. I used my tried and tested toffee apple recipe but intsead of adding red food colouring I used black. I loved how shiny and glossy they looked but wanted to add some white, cream or silver to them.

Then I remembered seeing these great Halloween cakes that were decorated with melted marshmallows, which got me thinking it might work on candy apples...

So last night I made black candy apples with marshmallow webs and let me tell you I had so much fun making them, especially the marshmallow webs. It is a messy sticky job adding the webs but oh so much fun!

I love how my black candy apples with marshmallow webs turned out and I am hoping they will look great on my Halloween dessert table...
