I recently had the pleasure of attending a wedding in South Africa. In order to get there, and without sounding ungrateful, an 11 hour trip on a huge aeroplane has to be endured. SO.LONG. What better time to settle down with a lovely gin and share my buying habits with you, as you know my spending habits, here are the 10 things that run through my mind when deciding on a beauty buy or not-to-buy. 001. The price. Why lie? 002. How is the product marketed at me? If the brands’ messaging doesn’t sit right, the advertising sucks or I just don’t have time for the celebrity that they have lazily thrown money at, then it’s a no. Dem’s da rules. 003. How often will I use this product, once I have put it through it’s paces and shared it with you? 004. Followed by “can I be bothered to get into the product at all?”. 005. Will this fix my current skin woe? 006. Is this product overly blogged about and has since suffered a small case of blanket coverage, resulting in my lack of interest? 007. The packaging. Always the packaging. 008. What’s the science behind this then? ...
