The sweetest and easiest DIY gift: a star wish envelope

I’m a huge sucker for handwritten notes, original wrapping, original stationary and all little thoughtful things you can do with that for friends. Everyone needs a small love note – something that celebrates the small things – every now and again!

So when I came across a photo on Pinterest featuring an envelope filled with little stars, I knew it was something I wanted to re-make and show you because it’s such an easy and adorable way to spread a bit of love during the last weeks of the year.

A little wish envelope!
To me, this symbolizes falling stars so the more you add, the more power you give to your wish! Put them in tiny envelopes to give to close friends or Holiday party guest and wish them something special in the New Year!

How I made this
I made them with small see through envelopes, small gold and silver stars and decorated with washi tape to my liking. It’s nice to get two or three different tape styles in the same color palette (like I did with dots and stripes but all in metallic) to add some depth. To make these little star envelopes even more special, you can add self written wishes inside. Make it personal by referring to a shared memory or keep it short and sweet.

Share them with your loved ones and tell them to open it on the same night on a rainy day. This way, they always have a twinkle to guide them trough dark hours. How sweet is that?
