Vacarello X Versus

If there was any doubt before, Anthony Vaccarello just cemented himself as the contemporary king of sexy thanks to his collaboration with Versus. This guy knows how to combine the sexiest silhouettes with relaxed, give-a-shit styling details to create the ultimate in modern femininity that we all want a slice of.

Bra-less decolletages and hip-baring slits are teamed with low-slung belts, jogger-style trousers and oversized masculine tailoring for a collection that perfectly marries Vaccarello’s own aesthetic with the rebellious essence of Versus. I can often end up feeling quite exposed and on show in anything you’d deem overtly ‘sexy’, but this resonates and appeals on every level, namely because Vaccarello is doing sexy for women rather than men. The oxymoron of collections, it’s subtle and bold, pulled-together and disheveled and totally, utterly and obnoxiously self-assured. I love how he’s incorporated the iconic golden safety pins from 90s’ Versace statement pieces too.

And if anything can get me that bit closer to having something in common with Anja, I’m on board.
