Time will always send your worries away.
It was 7am on Tuesday morning and I was in need of a pep talk. After a restless night and early morning shoot, I found myself sitting in bed feeling paralyzed and headed down a dark rabbit hole. Unfortunately, my “cheerleaders,” who I would typically call for a quick snap back into my happy reality, were still sleeping due to the time difference.
I attempted to start my day with a cup of coffee & opened the curtains to a gorgeous morning. I read the newspaper, dipped into the new Murakami book and idly drifted back into a very deep slumber. Hours later, my heavy eyes peeked open to find my phone ringing. “Husband” appeared on the screen.
I picked up the phone and asked “What do you love most about me?”
“We are complimentary colors,” he said and his words washed every tower to the sea.
I stood up and my face met the high noon rays that were beating into the hotel room. I packed up my things and went for a final walk through Central Park. It turned out to be the most beautiful day in NY I’d ever seen.
And to think, I almost missed it!
