Pocket Treasures Technique: Background Building

Whether you love pocket memory-keeping, traditional scrapbooking, or cardmaking, our newest release is sure to have something for you. And no need to wait to shop, these new goodies are available in our online store NOW!

One special technique we LOVE with Pocket Treasures is building backgrounds. Some of our favorite stamps for this technique are 30-247 Life’s Journals, 30-238 Footnotes, and 30-240 Textures.

For this pair of ATCs, a vintage background was created by adding watercolor inks in neutral shades to create the look of old book paper. Stamping with 30-247 Life’s Journals finishes this look perfectly! And why not add some brushstroke botanicals, 4377K Noble and 4383K First Dance, stamped using Distress Paints.

This dotty background was “built” by stamping 30-240 Textures in alternating colors and then also masking and inking the bottom portion of the background.

And finally, here we’ve created a TEXTural background for our tulips by stamping and inking 51-051 Tabs & Toggles with 30-238 Footnotes and 30-247 Life’s Journals.

We have lots more Pocket Treasure fun coming for you next week, but before you go, don’t forget to enter our giveaway.
