Jet Set: The Captain Fairfield Inn in Maine (La Dolce Vita)

Hello LDV readers! Brendan here of B.A.D | Blog About Design. For today’s Jet Set post, I’ve decided to take us to the Captain Fairfield Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine. The Northeast is a great place to travel to in the fall and this inn does not disappoint. Just picture yourself sitting on the back porch sipping some tea looking out at the autumn leaves! The inn has received many praises and is practically rated 5 stars by its guests.

(ABOVE) The lobby has been completely updated and is both modern and traditional. I love the rich blue wall color, it really sets the tone for the space and makes the space feel cozy and inviting. The layering of a zebra rug and a more traditional rug also warms the space. This lobby is definitely a fun space to hang out in.

(ABOVE) The inn also features a small eating area. Here you can order pancakes and other breakfast related items as well as wine and small plates.

(ABOVE) Perhaps you’ll order a simple eggs benedict with ham? Looks so yummy!

(ABOVE) There are nine total suites, each suite has a different theme. The Rachel room is stylish and contemporary.

(ABOVE) The Vineyard Vines suite is super relaxing and feels very true to the preppy brand’s look.
