Pallet Wood Sign

How can it only be Thursday?

School started this week for me, and we’re trying to get back in the swing of things! Miss L. has adjusted fine. I was thinking that she’d miss me and have some separation anxiety this first week back…not the case. She screamed, “Noooo…..I want to stay here!!!” when I picked her up at the babysitter’s on Tuesday. Really, kid?! {It’s kind of embarrassing when your own child doesn’t want to come home with you.}

I seem to be the only one in our house who’s struggling through the week. Waking up to an alarm clock again really stinks. I hate it!

Anyway, I digress. Want me to tell you about my pallet wood sign?

Believe it or not, this is my first actual pallet wood sign. All of my other signs have been made out of other materials.

I just brushed off an old piece of pallet wood and stenciled WELCOME on it. That’s it! Tutorial is over!

Pallet wood signs are so easy to make! You can use so many different kinds of paint. I used some left-over “Heirloom White” by American Accents. It’s really a furniture paint, but whatev.

I hung it by our front door and moved some of my flowers to our front stoop. I think it’s quite welcoming, if I do say so myself! I snagged the little wire basket on wheels at an antique store recently…isn’t it cute?!

I hope your week is going faster than mine! Here’s to the weekend getting here FAST!

Have a great day!
