Fall Layering with Lucky Brand

Do you know why I love fall? I mean, besides all of the fun and special holidays, pumpkin patches, pumpkin-spice lattes and leaves candles? Layering. I love to layer, but let's be honest, that's not a year-round option here in Houston. So when the temperatures dip enough to wear a shirt, sweater AND scarf… well, sign me up!

For this post, I partnered with Lucky Brand Jeans to showcase some of my favorite fall looks, especially focusing on layering. I just love how a few key pieces added to your wardrobe can inspire so many looks.

I was surprised to learn that Lucky Brand carried all kinds of clothing, accessories, footwear and outerwear as I had always remembered the store as more focused on denim, which I think they do a fantastic job with. I literally tried on nearly every style they sold!

The items I added to my closet from Lucky Brand are the Caleigh Military Jacket, the Lolita Skinny Jeans in dark wash and the Dylan Boyfriend jeans. I felt these pieces are perfect foundations for so many looks and can work for such a wide variety of occasions - everything from brunch to running errands to going to a fall festival. The jacket is a great neutral color that can be the perfect addition to a casual outfit or even to add a little edge to a cute dress with heels for a night out. I just love the way it fits.
For my first look, I paired the skinny jeans with my military jacket, a chambray shirt, a great plaid blanket scarf and brown heeled boots.

For my second look, I paired the Dylan Boyfriend Jeans with the same chambray shirt, a crisp white sweatshirt, a black and gray printed blanket scarf and leopard-print heels.
