Flower Square Crochet Patterns

Yes, they are live and kicking, available for you to make: the flower square crochet patterns of the kids poncho made with Scheepjeswol Stonewashed, and the cushion made with Scheepjeswol Stonewashed XL. In this case design truly followed yarn. When I started designing I knew bobbles had to be included to emphasize the softness of the yarn. A square with an open structure would allow the thread to show it’s texture. After trials and errors I am very happy with how it turned out; not too large, with 4 rounds it’s rather quick to make and both in solids as in two tone I think it can be used to make lots of things like cushions, blankets, covers etc.

I have said it before and I will probably say it again; this Stonewashed yarn is really very lovely to work with. It is soft yet sturdy, gives your crochet work a beautiful texture and look. I truly enjoyed making both the poncho and the cushion and I have to admit, I am not so sure I can stay away from making another poncho for myself…

The kids poncho pattern can also be found on Ravelry here and the cushion pattern can also be found on Ravelry here. Enjoy!

I can’t wait to see what you’ll be making with these lovely flower squares, I mean possibilities are endless of course…
