Repurposing A Vintage Tablecloth
One thing we are sure to stumble upon in our explorations are tons of vintage linens. While those in perfect condition can be a bit pricey, we have gotten quite a few damaged pieces for bargain prices.
Cutting stained tablecloths and sewing a quick
rolled hem has gotten us several sets of cute dish towels.
Cutting out the undamaged middle of a vintage barbecue themed cloth, sewing a rolled hem all around and adding a little ric rac got us this cute table runner.
I made
this purse a while ago out of an old tablecloth. More complicated than the other projects but definitely worth it.
And these
pillow covers out of a variety of old linens. Even with all of those projects done I still have several damaged tablecloths left over, and with all of our junk shop trolling I'm tempted to pick up more. I started to collect project ideas a while back-- wanna see?
Wall hoops -- I think adding a bit of embroidery to this idea would be a fantastic touch
