Tell a Story Snowman Card

Office stickers make these snowmen a breeze to put together, so students can concentrate on creating a short story. And with just a few adjustments to the placement of the eyes, nose and buttons, all kinds of body positions are possible.

PREP: Cut lots of 2.25″ x 4.25″ rectangles (with a paper cutter) from multicolored card stock paper. I used the blue / green package from Recollections, which I found at Michaels.

1. Students chose one background sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock paper and fold it in half for their card. They also choose 3 rectangles that for their story, all of which should be different from the background.

2. A rectangle sticker is trimmed to have a curved side, and then applied to the bottom of each panel. The extra sticker is trimmed from the backside.

3. Snowmen are made from one 1″ sticker and two 3/4″ stickers. The sticks and buttons and nose are drawn with an ultra fine tip marker, and the nose is filled with orange.

4. Snow dots are added with a white paint marker or pencil crayon.

5. Panels are attached to the front of the card with a glue stick.
