If you are around tumblr and pinterest like I am, I am sure you have seen some of these beautifully handcrafted and handpainted timber serving boards and spoons. It is the work of Artisan, Rambler, Warrior, Wanderer, Sea – Dweller, Nature – Frolicker and Gypsy -Pirate Millie Fairhall. Millie is a self-confessed ‘mixed-plate of cultural confusion’ and her heritage reflects heavily in all that she creates. She is based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia and makes all of her work by hand from her small studio in the mountains, be it woodworking – drawing – sewing – screenprinting – designing – painting, she enjoys exploring and playing with a variety of mediums. Other than her cultural heritage, she is inspired by nature and her connection with it . the raw ruggedness of life . her own travels and adventures around the globe.
