WEEKEND
Viikonloppua on täällä vietetty täysissä joulutunnelmissa! Eilen illalla tosiaan kutsuin muutamat mun ystävät kotiini joulufiilistelemään. Pöydät notkuivat erilaisista jouluherkuista ja vieraat totesivatkin, että rullaamallahan sitä kotiin lähdettiin. Itselläkin ollut lievästi turvonnut olo näin päivää juhlien jälkeen.. Noh, eikö jouluun vähän kuulukin turvotus ;-)
Illan hitti ruokien lisäksi oli Heads Up -niminen iPhonelle ladattava arvauspeli, josta mun on pakko vinkata vielä erikseen täällä teillekin! Sen verran monen tunnin huvitus me tästä nimittäin saatiin. Ideana pelissä on, että yksi arvaaja seisoo kännykkä otsalla muiden pelaajien edessä ja kännykän ruudulle tulee eri sanoja/leffoja/biisejä yms. joita muiden täytyy sitten joko selittää, esittää tai hyräillä arvaajalle, jolla puolestaan on tietty aika arvata ja tavoitteena saada mahdollisimman monta oikein. Jos olette seuranneet Ellen De Generesin showta on tämä varmasti teille jo tuttu. Meillä kaikista hauskimmaksi kategoriaksi osoittautui Hey Mr. DJ, jonka myötä koko kööri hyräiltiin yhdelle ja samalle arvaajalle biisejä valehtelematta varmaan kolme tuntia putkeen :-D Että sellaiset pikkujoulut.. Mutta testatkaa, superhauska seurapeli!
Joulumeininki jatkui tänään sunnuntaina joulukonsertilla Tukholman suomalaisessa kirkossa. Oli muuten eka kerta mulle täällä, ja onpahan viimeisestä joulukonsertista muutenkin aikaa.. Nyt puolestaan istuskelen kotona jouluvalojen ympäröimänä ja joululaulut taustalla soiden. Vitsit, joulu on kyllä ehdottomasti sitä viihtyisintä ja kotoisinta aikaa vuodesta! Näistä fiiliksistä onkin hyvä jatkaa ens viikkon, jolloin suunnitelmissa on yhteensä kaksi reissua Suomeen. Ensin alkuviikosta työjuttujen merkeissä ja loppuviikosta puolestaan pidemmälle visiitille jouluksi ja uudeksi vuodeksi!

This weekend has been all about celebrating the upcoming christmas! Yesterday evening I invited some of my friends to my home for a little pre x-mas party. I had fixed a lot of different christmas foods and drinks to be served and all my guests actually said that they literally had to roll home from here, haha. I was also feeling a bit swollen, to say the least, the day after but yeah, what can I say.. I guess it kind of belongs to christmas ;-)
We also had some activities during our evening. We played this game called Heads Up that you can upload to your iPhone and it was so much fun that I just have to share this with you! If you’ve wahtched Ellen De Generes show you might already know what’s it about. So there’s one, the guesser, that holds the phone on her/his forehead. Then all these different words/films/songs etc. pops on the screen and the other players have to explain/act/hum and the guesser tries to guess what it is. You have a certain amount of time and the goal is to get so many right as possible. Our favorite during the evening was Hey Mr. DJ and I guess we hummed for at least three hours straight, haha. So yes, it was super fun, you should definitely try it on your next party!
I also was on a christmas concert earlier today so my christmas feelings are really on! I really love this time of the year, so cozy with all the lights and decorations. I’m just sitting at home admiring the ones I have here, and of course listening to christmas songs once again. Great way to load the batteries for the upcoming week. I have two trips to Finland planned, first a work thing in the beginning of the week, then I come back home and the later on next week I’m travelling again to stay for both christmas and new years!
