When was the last time you found a new holy grail skincare item? I’ve been using the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant on & off for years because it really fits effortlessly into my skincare routine. Want more control with your exfoliation? Want to try an innovative product? Want something that will last & last? How about something you can even use on targeted areas? Well- just keep reading to check it out!

Right out of the package this is different from most exfoliating products because it is a fine powder. This is a rice-based powder formula that activates when it comes in contact with water. It is even okay for daily use & I also like to target some of my driest areas like my cheeks or nose quickly after washing my face for a bit of extra exfoliation when the rest of my skin is in good shape. I love how you can really zoom in on areas you need it. When it comes in contact with water it releases papain, salicylic acid, & rice enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead skin cells. You’re left with a more radiant & smooth skin texture.

My favorite part about this product is the addition of green tea, ginkgo, & collodial oatmeal which help to calm my somewhat sensitive skin. I don’t find my skin as red or irritated as with harsher exfoliation yet I’m left with a similar result. To use just add the recommended half-teaspoon (ish) to wet hands. It will form a paste with the water! Apply to your face in circular motions avoiding eyes & mouth. I really love to take this down my neck as well. Dermalogica recommends doing this for about one minute then rinsing with warm water. You would think this would be more difficult to remove but it honestly isn’t! It is so fine & just combines with the water to rinse away after exfoliating.

You can purchase the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica’s website, ULTA, Selfridges, Drugstore.com, & wherever Dermalogica products are sold. Keep an eye on sizes- the full size is 2.6 oz but there is also a travel size! I have that as well & love to take it with me on trips- it is so lightweight & easy to depot if necessary!
