Recently, a friend of a friend hosted a Nutrimetics makeup & beauty party, and I got to tag along. It was quite a fun night with massages, relaxation, and having a play with makeup, however I soon discovered there was quite an overwhelming sales undertone. I would describe Nutrimetics as a brand akin to Avon - they sell through catalogues, mail drops, 'makeup parties'..
So as much fun as the party was, the inevitable 'awkward sales pitch' concluded the evening. Although I do like to stick to what I know in terms of brands and making an informed decision of what products to try next (reviews - thanks fellow bbloggers!, and samples), some of the products looked quite nice. I ended up going with a blush and an eyeshadow from the 'Marble' range.
Marble Rouge - $25
The marble rouge blush in Arial is supposed to be a blush and a highlight, and although they look different in the pan, they are pretty much the same shade. The blush is fairly well pigmented, and I really love the pinky/slightly peach colour shot with gold. There are two drawbacks: it is super super SUPER glittery - a little too much. The photo doesn't do anywhere near enough justice. The texture is also quite chalky. That being said, I do like the blush in very small amounts just on the top of my cheeks.
MarbleEyes in Astro - $25
