Model Behaviour - When Vix Met Hattie & The Dame

When Kerry asked me to model a couple of her handmade cocktail hats for her website, The House Of Harrie Hattie, I jumped at the chance, especially when she bribed me with the chance to dress up in her Vivienne Westwood cape.

We met on the vintage fair circuit and became firm friends. She's a huge Dame Viv fan (if you can't already tell) and like any mate of mine, she adores car boot sales, charity shops and not taking life too seriously.

Kerry makes all her creations by hand using the finest Harris Tweed, tartan and British tweed fabrics. You don't need to be going anywhere fancy or be a posh country type to wear one. I'm an urbanite through and through, I'll wear a ball gown to Asda. After all, a day without dressing up is a day wasted.

I'm loving how well tartan sits with psychedelia, who'd have thought it?

Jon's a star, abandoning his chainsawing activities to photograph a pair of cackling women!
Linking us both to Patti's Visible Monday.

I'm wearing 1960s psychedelic maxi (eBay, 2009), Velvet platforms (Office, 2012), Wooden beads (made by Tania), House of Harrie Hattie cocktail hat and a Vivienne Westwood cape. Kerry's wearing Vivienne Westwood with a House of Harrie Hattie cocktail hat.
It was a bit of a wrench giving the cape back to Kerry, I can tell you.

Its been a glorious couple of days, not that I've seen much of it as I've been indoors working on Kinky's website (with a brief respite for socialising, naturally). I've a gazillion blog posts to catch up on and its my turn to cook tea, such is life!
See you soon.
