oh these lights

Bright lights and this mixture of sweet and bitter scents, coming from burned almonds, gingerbread cake and mulled wine, wafting through the air makes me realize that it’s really that time of the year again. How i love these seasonal scents.

It’s impressive how our christmas market has evolved through the years. At first it was just a simple place with a small amount of stands serving food and drinks, and that basically was it. But this year is so much different. The market is divided into three, almost four spots, where you can discover an ice-skating rink, a huge ferris wheel that will provide you with a wonderful look over our beautiful city and a dreamy set-up of stands of all different kinds. Luxembourg is, during this time of the year, so worth a visit.

Being a huge fan of christmas markets I sincerely hope that we might somehow have the chance to visit one while in Hamburg this weekend. We arrived yesterday morning in the hanseatic town after a very long over-night car-ride and I was so tired and exhausted that all I did was sleep. We will spend most of the time in the facility where my sister’s championship will take place. She qualified herself for the Miss Universe in the Shape category and with this being her first season, I am so proud of her and wish her the best luck in the world. Crossing my fingers.
