At One With Nature!

There's a lorra, lorra blue, green and yellow in this post. During my France trip there were just so many stunning photo opportunities that I just don't seem to stumble across in Blighty. I'm not saying they don't exist and travelling across the Channel has made me more determined to find them. However the weather in the Dordogne valley is always pretty decent in Summer, making the picturesque backdrop even more enjoyable. We were up bright and early to enjoy the Jardins de Marqueyssac, a dreamlike retreat created in 1692 which sits 130 meters above the river with unbelievable views of the region. We didn't manage to brave the rock climbing, instead having a little wander and contemplating what kind of upkeep such a pristine setting would need. It's definitely my kind of garden, a little bit random in its layout with plenty of history and surprises.

If that wasn't enough of a view, our next stop was a traditional Gabare boat for a tour along La Roque Gageac. For once I actually listened to the commentary on the headset (my French is still pretty sketchy) and marvelled at the castles and quaint houses that we passed. I took this chance to get some quick outfit photos in such a beautiful setting, being the only fashion blogger amongst those specialised in travel, vlogging and even Instagram is always interesting. I feel like I constantly create more work for myself by having a fashion and travel angle, whilst keeping all my social channels updated, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I wore a pretty standard travel outfit, a tropical crop top, shorts (excuse my lack of ironing), sandals plus some jazzy holographic shades.

I think the main highlight of the day was finding this sunflower field in Souillac. We'd spotted a few from way up high in the gardens but weren't sure if we'd have time to stop at one for photos, so this was a real treat. All I need to do is find a similar place in London, I think all the stresses of large crowds and sweaty tubes would be soon forgotten!
