Layers and Textures

One of my favourite things about dressing up in fall/winter seasons is layering. Aside from having a great opportunity to play around in mixing and matching pieces, it’s also very practical in keeping you cozy and warm during harsh winter days.

Which is why I fell in-live with this Kimono-like wrap coat from Forever21 the first time I saw it. Not only it’s incredibly cozy, it’s also very easy to style.

With the flood of streetstyle photos online from New York Fashion Week and recently, London Fashion Week, big bulky winter coats are definitely up there in my style radar. The heavy layered-outerwear was counter-balanced by the basic white t-shirt under, while the textured sweatpants kept the look casual and effortless.

I also have to confess that these newly acquired platform shoes, also from Forever21, has been getting a lot of milage as I have been wearing it almost everyday since I got them. I guess I’m enjoying the extra inch of height it gives me, it’s a whole new prospective I’m telling you.
