Makeup: Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows
Today I uploaded a video to my Youtube channel to give you an insight into my makeup collection, namely my Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows. Here are some closer shots of the shades I have and a few more details about each one :)
Each either 2.5g or 2.8g of product, I'm assuming it defers depending on the density of the pigment much like MAC pigments. They retail for £17 each, however, I purchased the majority of mine at my local Cosmetic Company Outlet (CCO) or during one of Debenhams frequent 10% off sales so have yet to pay full price :)
I have three types of finish, Shimmer Wash, Metallic and "Eys Shadow"!
The Shimmer Wash finish is described as "sheer, lightly pearlised shadow, which can also be used as a highlighter shade under the browbone".
The Metallic finish is described as "high-shimmer, high-pigment formula applies smoothly and evenly and stays crease free for long-lasting wear".
The "Eye Shadow" finish is described as "silky, matte formula glides on smoothly and blends easily".
The vast majority of shades I have are Shimmer Washes, although I really enjoy my solitary matte shadow. Let's move on to the shades and swatches.
Champagne is part of the permanent line and is a light golden peach. A perfect shade for all over the lid in the same vein as MAC All That Glitters. The texture is smooth and easy to blend
Cognac does not appear to be available as part of the permanent line on Bobbi Brown's website but it is still showing on Debenhams. It is a metallic rich chocolate brown with red undertones. It’s very pigmented and whilst it has a metallic finish, I do not find it to be too shimmery. It would look amazing on green eyes!
Copper Cocoa, as far as I can tell, is not part of the permanent line. It is a light chocolate-y brown with a shimmer finish and is a light golden peach. The texture is smooth, extremely soft and it is easy to blend
Copper Sand is also not part of the permanent line. It's a deep golden peach and makes a beautiful lid colour when paired with Copper Cocoa, provided you don't mind the shimmers. The texture is a little harder than the others but it's still pigmented and easy to blend
Fawn is sadly a discontinued colour. It is a metallic beige brown with a lot of grey and gold undertones, it's quite hard to describe! I love me a good taupe and this one certainly fits the bill. It works wonderfully by itself with a bit of liner for a rock chick kind of look. The texture is smooth, extremely soft and it is easy to blend
Heather Mauve is part of the permanent line and is a silver grey brown. It certainly doesn't have any traces of heather or mauve in it! Like Fawn it makes for a great one shadow eye look. The texture is a little hard but it is still easy to blend
Snow is part of the permanent line and is a pure shimmery white. It's wonderfully pigmented and the shimmer reflects the light beautifully to give a lot of lightness to wherever it is applied. It is buttery soft, silky smooth and easy to blend
Stone is part of the permanent line and is a beaige-y silver-y brown. Another metallic taupe but more with silver and a deeper almost red toned brown. Again, this one is buttery soft, silky smooth and easy to blend
Taupe is part of the permanent line and is just that, a warm taupe. In the same vein as the likes of MAC Wedge and Urban Decay Naked, this shadow works wonders by itself but it also works well as a "best friend" colour to blend out crease colours. Whilst it has a drier texture compared to it's shimmery cousins, it's still soft and blends easily
Navajo, as far as I can tell, has been discontinued. It is almost a metallic buttercream colour, a white with a hint of golden yellow. Like Champagne it makes for a lovely lid shade. Again, the texture is smooth and easy to blend

The great thing about Bobbi Brown eyeshadows is they pop out of their plastic casings so you can pop them into a palette. I don't have a palette, nor am I sure I will purchase one, but it's always nice to have the option rather than going through the physical depotting process yourself.
I really enjoy all the shades I've tried so far, have you got any recommendations for others I should look at?
