DIY: tiny tassel earrings.

In my humble opinion, two of the easiest, and most addictive, crafts to make are pom poms and/or tassels. Have you made them? They look adorable on anything. I love to incorporate them into jewelry designs or onto holiday packaging.
There are a lot of newfangled tassel-making methods, but I'm old school. And impatient. I find that the easiest method is the following... 1. Wind the embroidery thread around two fingers until there's a small bundle of thread. 2. Slide a piece of thread, in the same color, through the middle of the bundle, and tie knot it tightly. 3. Take a piece of contrasting thread, wrap it around a few times toward the top of the bundle, and tie it tightly. 4. Use a tiny pair of scissors to cut the loops at the bottom of the bundle & trim down any uneven strands.
Oh heeeyyyy! It's a tassel!!
Once the tassels are made, it's time to play. Necklaces and earrings featuring tassels are easy jewelry pieces to make. They require little time and few jewelry supplies and I like that.
What You'll Need: 2 Jump Rings 2 Tassels 2 Ear Wires 2 Eyepins 2 Beads Jewelry pliers Wire cutters
Step 1. String each bead onto an eye pin and make a loop. Step 2. Open the ear wires using the pliers, and attach them to the beads. Step 3. Attach a jump ring onto the top of each tassel. Step 4. Attach the ear wires beads to the tassel!
