The Daily: Making a plan

I’ve spent the past week trying to decide where my business will go through the end of the year and what changes I’ll make to the Badass Babes Blog Club E-Course for the second session.

As an internet entrepreneur (I always feel cheesy and pyramid scheme-y using that term, but it does encompass all that I do), finding business books or even articles online to help in planning and organizing my business has been really challenging. I keep getting half way through and thinking, “Is this really going to benefit me?”

Most books are geared toward store fronts or start-ups or businesses with employees and investors, or they’re just a few years old and already outdated (the curse of working online). But my business is just me and my dog, parked on the couch, two years in, trying to figure out the best way create products that help people do what they want through a blog.

I’ve read lots of books that helped me figure out what I want to do and why I want to do it (Start With Why) and some of the how (Creative Inc.), but the day to day running of a business like this? Not much out there.

I’m looking for something in between the rah-rah-you-can-do-it books and the boring business text books.

Any suggestions?
