I hope everyone takes a moment today (and every day) to honour everyone who has ever fought to protect freedom and the people they love.

I recently had the pleasure of doing two different photo shoots. The first was with Tessa and local jewelry designer, Sarah Mulder, and the second was with my boyfriend and the team of Style Apparent, whom I'm shooting with again on Saturday. I'm so inspired by people who are dedicated to their craft and push forward to create. I give props to those who have given up their conventional jobs to pursue a creative endeavour. I believe they're some of the happiest.

I often get asked who takes my photos. The answer is, of course, my boyfriend. During our photo shoot with the team of Style Apparent, the tables were turned and not only did they shoot the two of us together, but also just of him. I'm blessed beyond words that I've found my better half. After 3 years together, we have this remarkable unspoken understanding that I breathe for, that I sometimes take for granted, but I know I could never live without.
