Back to School with Blacks.

Yes, I've just gone on holiday & yes, it's only August.... but I am aware that as soon as we return from holiday school will be upon us. And autumn too, hoorah!
Bearing in mind that I am away for some weeks, I spent an afternoon this week doing "autumn term admin"....even I was impressed with myself ;)
Booking classes for my children, ordering items of new PE kit, finding out about a couple of new extra-curricular activities which I plan to tempt my teenager with.... filing, organising, getting ahead of myself....in a good way.
My 8, almost 9 year, son is growing almost by the day it would seem.... I'm sure he seems to have grown 2 inches since the summer hols began!!
His school PE kit needed replacing completely....the only reason I didn't order football & rugby boots for September is that I am sure, magically, his feet will have grown again by then with all the sun & sea & good food....
Anyway, where I am heading with all this, is that yesterday I discovered that Blacks (the amazing camping & outdoor supply store), sell a great range of "Back to School" items.... my children do not - unfortunately - have a school uniform, but then again, that does mean that winter coats & jackets do not have to be a specific colour or style - and you have none of those issues with your child not wanting to wear their "school" coat when you are going mountain-climbing or adventuring at the weekend.
From Osprey backpacks to waterproof jackets by reliable brand Peter Storm - I bought this & this (waterproof but lightweight enough to be worn at a Sunday morning sports practice) & these & these colourful wellies.... I am so going to miss the days when my son will no longer wear colourful wellies ;)
They have lots of items currently on sale online & a great choice.
So, feeling very organised for going back to school autumn.... now I just need to go & finish my summer packing!
