FESTIVAL FOCUS: V FESTIVAL 2014

V Festival babe alert! We sent red – no wait now – strawberry blonde social queen, glam gal and blogger babe extraordinaire Selina Jervis of Flying Saucer fame along to this years V Festival armed with some super sweet Motel garms and plenty of glitter! Lets hear how it all went down!

“Cute co-ords packed, cocktails mixed, glitter ready – the festival essentials all checked off! Embarking to scenic and stately Weston Park for 2014′s V Festival can only mean the chicest, pop-fuelled experience of the festival calendar. Hosting the best of dance, indie and chart acts, with a huge glug of upcoming talent, the V Festival mix is eclectic and super hip. I booked my ticket without really looking at the lineup, knowing there would be a list of acts I could dance to across the whole weekend!”

“Dancing began right away as we set up our camp and hit the arena in our tropical prints and chunky white sandals. The Friday played host to Club MTV, a huge rave in the giant blue Arena tent, playing all of the top artists across the weekend to hype up the fresh crowds. We spun around on a few rides and danced way beyond midnight in the Silent Disco, moving simultaneously to the likes of R. Kelly and Nirvana.”

“Hitting our sleeping bags hard, we woke and indulged in cocktails and crepes, adding lashes of bright lipstick and wearing our sunniest Motel prints to match the weather. I chose the sweetest Lemonade print with a punchy red pout for day one and day two another set of amazing coordinates in Tropical Hawaii print. My bestie wore the 90s inspired Andrea Sunflower Skirt. There were no denim shorts here! It’s all about the festival brights!”

“We swooned over pint-size beauty Jhene Aiko who floated around the stage in a lace crop top and bohemian maxi skirt, then hot footed to the MTV stage to catch a glimpse of man-of-the-moment Sam Smith, who drew mega crowds. We also spied mega babe and Motel fan Foxes vibing our pink gingham Josie Crop Top and matching Kiki Shortsco-ords were clearly the best thing to be seen in at V this year!”

“Childish Gambino absolutely tore up the stage, followed by leather clad Jason Derulo with some seriously smooth moves. The night ended with crazy vibes from Chase and Status as thousands of arms waved in the air and feet moved the ground harder than the base speakers.”

“We woke up to a little drizzle but nothing a cool tropical co-ord could not solve! Sunday was the indie highlight of the weekend, with none stop dudes strutting across the stage. The likes of Bastille, Kodaline and Tom ODell made the gals swoon, with the highlight being cutie Ed Sheeran popping out shyly with his guitar and strumming the life out of his greatest songs. At one point everyone climbed the nearest shoulders under Ed’s instructions and there was a sea of bodies high in the crowd. With hearts in our eyes, the sun set and smooth operator Justin Timberlake hit the stage with his brass band, serenading the fans with Cry Me A River, Senorita and his new classic Mirrors. We had lost of voices, our feet ached, but we had a BLAST! See you next year V.”
