AW14 TREND WATCH: TOTALLY PLAID
Here at Motel we love it when a trend comes back around, and although the plaid trend isn’t completely new, we certainly have some hot new styles for you to rock the traditional print in a refreshingly distinct way.
We saw it all over the Fall catwalks this year, and loved to see how so many designers made this trend their own, giving us a versatile way to wear this trend. Designers went coat crazy with the plaid print this year, and we saw some statement outer garms from Victoria Beckham, Delpozo, Vera Wang and Kenneth Cole. From eye-catching and unapologetic colour combos to more typically muted palettes, there was no limit to how the favourite AW print could be used.
It was no surprise to see this trend reinvent itself just in time for that ‘back to school’ period. Plaid is the classic print reminiscent of those high school days, but even if you aren’t heading back to school this trend is still one for you.
