All-Natural Essentials for Winter Skin

Keeping your skin hydrated during winter can be an uphill battle, and no one wants their skin to feel anything other than soft and smooth. When there is a chill in the air, we want to keep it all natural with ingredients like faves like coconut oil, aloe vera, and honey. Not only are these easy to find, but they are awesome for using in a homemade lotion or on their own. Get the scoop on our essentials for baby soft winter skin.

Coconut Oil: Literally the holy grail of all oils, coconut oil works wonders for your hair and skin. It’s also amazing to cook with and makes everything taste better. Seriously. After showering, rub teaspoon of coconut oil in your hands to soften before applying to your skin. You smell good. You feel good. You look good.

Aloe Vera: We love aloe vera for soothing sunburns or irritation. It’s consistency is perfect for mixing with your favorite lotion for an extra dose of awesomeness for your skin. You can get aloe vera gel straight from the plant by cutting off a leaf and gently squeezing. Instant cool.

Honey: Here is the sweet stuff that’s actually good for your skin! Honey is full of antioxidants and naturally antibacterial; try mixing it with raw sugar or sea salt for a firming scrub or use it as a spot treatment to keep your skin glowing.

Essential Oils: Add a few drops of essential oil to your favorite lotion, shampoo, or just about anything you put on your body for an invigorating boost. Our favorites are lavender and sandalwood. Not only are they soothing, but they smells good and can be easily diluted with coconut or olive oil for an amazing, hydrating treatment.

Chamomile: While you usually think of chamomile being your sleepy time tea, you can also apply it topically. The anti-inflammatory qualities of chamomile help with skin elasticity to keep your skin dewy all winter long.

Avocado: Whether you use it in a mask or use it as an excuse to eat guacamole, avocado does wonders for your skin. Avocado is rich in vitamin C, healthy fats, and antioxidants that not only keeps your skin healthy, but keeps it moisturized.

Keep these all natural skin care essentials at your side, and your skin will not only survive the winter, but thrive. Can we get a hell yeah?
