Dumbo Arts Festival 2014

It's been a couple of years that I stopped by the Dumbo (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) Arts Festival in Brooklyn. There was a lot of construction going on so most of the festival has been moved to different areas. It was still fun and there were lots to see - glass house by the water, dog made out of cardboard boxes, art galleries, barter town (where you exchange something for something else).

Read on to see more!

There was a death parade along the water, where each represented death in a different culture.
In barter town, there were cookies being exchanged for personal information. Info included such as name, date of birth, etc. The more information you give, the more points you receive and which ever cookie you can choose from. Since we put some of our personal tidbits on social media already, it was to call attention to why not use that to exchange for this product.
On a separate plaza, people were encourage to write a thought, confession, or wish and it was taped on each brick. It was similar to those post card confessions, but created a colorful display.
There were even hidden treasures as you stray a little from the main streets. I found this tape poetry down a quieter street.
