Salad Recipes i Want to Try

While The Captain suffers from FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) i am totally on the JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) train! A no plans weekend is my idea of heaven! The Captain is going to the boat show and sadly i will have my hands full with Charley Bird (darn, dang, oh no – missing out on the boat show – i’m devastated!!). One of the things our little bird loves to do is sit in her bouncer on the kitchen counter, gnaw on a wooden spoon and watch us cook though these recipes are more about salads – so there won’t be much cooking as such. I’ve chosen salads because if you’ve read The Real Meal Revolution you’ll have read that if you cheat at banting, you’ll balloon!! Well, i can attest to the fact that this is entirely true!! Oh dear, so it’s some clean eating for me for the next little while then.

Can’t wait to try these out

Doesn’t this Raw Carrot & Beetroot Salad look like it’s a big bowl of health? I love the jewel colours and i know i’ll love the crunch. I spotted it over on the Drizzle and Dip website – here’s a link to the recipe.

This Raw Salmon Salad is also from the Drizzle and Dip website. I love salmon at the best of times and i have a punnet of radishes in the fridge that needs to be eaten, so. this one’s definitely got my name on it. Click here for the recipe.

We eat the Beef Tataki at 1682 at least once a month and this Ponzu soaked beef fillet salad with crunchy soba noodles recipe from What Katie Ate reminds me of it. Ponzu is sometimes hard to find so i often take a light soya sauce and squeeze fresh orange juice into it to get that suitably citrusy taste. Oh, and i’m totally going to swop Soba noodles for 2 minute noodles. Click here for the original recipe.
