Lettice Update

We took Letty and Posetta Baddog up to Hampstead Heath for a trot on Sunday afternoon. Whilst I was in Seoul last week (as you do), Holly had managed to overcome Letty’s dislike of the lead to the extent that she can now walk them in tandem on their leads in one hand.

We had two very tired sausages on the way home. Frankly this photograph still astonishes me: our biggest worry about adopting Letty was that P Bad would try to eat her for breakfast. (She’s not known for being particularly accommodating around other dogs, although she and Billy my mother’s whippet get on fine.)

But, from the moment we introduced them in Regent’s Park, just over two weeks ago, there have been no issues, apart from some Paddington Bear hard stares from P Bad when Letty has been hogging laps. I thought putting Letty in P Bad’s car box on the way from the Heath was a step too far, but she didn’t even flinch.

Letty, who also wasn’t eating her food in her first week, has been corrupted by Little Miss Greedy, and now clears her bowls, down to the enamel. (She’s so tiny that I’m using my dishes for her, as my dog bowls are too deep and high for her.)

My hand, for scale.
