GIVEAWAY: Real Techniques by Sam & Nic Chapman

Sometimes blogging about beauty stuff brings some pretty cool things. For example, meeting the biggest YouTube makeup artists Sam and Nic Chapman, also known as the Pixiwoo sisters! They were so gorgeous and down-to-earth that you couldn’t feel embarrassed about fan girling over them. True story.

If you have yet to be introduced to the Real Techniques line of brushes and makeup tools, you’re in for a treat! The whole line is cruelty-free and only uses synthetic fibres, but these are not your grandma’s synthetic brushes. They apply both creams and powders so well, and I even prefer them to some of my higher end brushes. They are well-made and come in a really attractive price point (read: cheap).

My absolute favourite Real Techniques tool has to be the Miracle Complexion Sponge ($10). This is much denser than the original beautyblender when damp, and 100% prefer it over the competition. Its denser material ensures that product doesn’t get lost in the sponge, hence creating less waste. I find that my foundation goes a longer way when I use my Miracle Complexion sponge. I also love the flat side to apply concealer to the under eye area very easily. It’s a must-have in my book!
