London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013: Bora Aksu

Chrysostomos Chamalidis created glossy braided updos for the Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week.
Show: Bora Aksu
Stylist: Chrysostomos Chamalidis for KMS California
The inspiration: Jane Eyre goes 1920s
The look: Sleek, high-shine plaited buns.
Get the look: Hair was centre parted and styled in to two high pigtails at the back of the head, with a small section on either side of the face left loose.
These sections were then looped over the eye and tied in to the pigtails separately.
Hair was then slathered with Hairstay Styling Gel, painted on with a tinting brush to create an extremely glossy, wet-look finish.
SIlksheen Polishing Serum was also pulled through to create even more shine.
Hair in each pigtail was divided into three, with blue Kryolan hair spray added on every other strand to bring out the colours in the collections and add interest.
Hair was then braided, so the blue was just visible.
Once hair was braided right to the ends, plaits were looped around on each other across the back of the head and pinned in place.
Some models were then given crocheted headpieces, which created a 1920s box bob silhouette from the front.
Key products: Hairstay Styling Gel, SIlksheen Polishing Serum
The gossip: A whole tube of gel was used on each model - serious gloss required here.
