If It's Tuesday...

...it must be time for a garden update.

This pot full of zombie plants is looking so good! It's amazing how $1 plants can be revived. :o)

The Bitsys have been blooming for awhile now. The first Carefree Peach bloomed today. :o)

And, the glads. I LOVE the glads so much. So does GG. I'm planning on cutting some to take to her on Friday.

The deer mottled Indian Hawthorn shrubs are starting to leaf again--whew--so all is well around front.

Here's what's happening around back. This is the great big bed of craziness. It's all starting to come up!

The butterfly weed is looking good and I'm starting to see buds.

I'm fairly certain this bumpy leaves belong to young blue sage plants. I have no clue what the more grassy looking ones there are.

These grassy whispies I'm fairly certain are the purple daisies.

Here's my volunteer pansy. I'm fairly certain it's a pansy and NOT a johnny jump-up. Next to it is a dahlia. I'm hoping those blobs by the base of the dahlia are Mexican sunflowers...:fingers crossed: I've not seen them come up yet. :oS

More dahlia, and I think possibly hollyhocks.

Cosmos.

More daisies...? Like I said, I'm pretty sure that's what those guys are.

The peppers are there at the far end, and here we see zinnias and possibly hollyhocks and other tallish plants. Maybe Mexican sunflowers?

I have baby peppers!

Tomatoes! It's lovely to have the frame in place before they get too big. Yes, it does block some sun, but I don't think it's a huge problem.

I love it when the plants in the hanging baskets start to spread.

The clematis is about spent. :sigh: It's been lovely. That's a hanging basket there hiding in the midst of it. And, can you see the pink spirea flowers?

This lantana makes me insanely happy. It's all Roy G Biv-y. :o) And, it's just plain pretty.

Here's a lantana across the planter from the first one.

We have a green frog living in the bed and I'm disappointed we have no frog eggs yet in the pond. Bri says it's probably because it's a male frog. Well spoot.

I have zinnias here, a couple cosmos coming up, and around the base of the hanging basket pole is a black eyed Susan vine coming up.

More zinnias.

The planter bed as of right now. I have some purple salvia coming up on the far side there next to the heliotrope.

Saturday is fertilizer day. I'll hit the hanging baskets and flowers with Miracle Gro and the tomatoes will get some of that coffee up there.

And, now off to other topics. While Jess was here Saturday, she did my family a HUGE HUGE HUGE favor and did all our hair.
I got a full head of foils (HOORAY! I'm really blonde again!) and a cut. It's hard to tell cuts with longish curly-ish hair. Trust me, it was trimmed.

Miss 'Punzel of the ends of hair that I was so embarrassed to even take her out in public, got a trim.

"I just want a trim, Aunt Jessie. A TRIM."

Aunt Jessie complied and nicked the ends as little as she could.

Hooray for healthy ends and hair!

Bitty, meanwhile, didn't just want a "trim", she wanted a full on CUT!

Eight inches later...

Ta-da! She looks so grown-up with her hair all chopped off.

Brien got a clippering as well, but well, he's a guy and there's not much to it. ;o) He still has his beard, though. :oP

As for Jess, she was tickled she got six heads (including my full foil which is nothing to sneeze at as I have a TON of hair) done in three hours. Not too shabby.

Sparklies:

1.

She's a force to be reckoned with.

2. Not a sparkly per se:
That mamba jamba was HUGE! Being able to remove it without causing my Beanie too much pain was the sparkly. I got her distracted with Toca Hair Salon on the iPad and managed to get it out.

3. I'm moving and grooving right along:

For Robin's birthday--even if it will be about two weeks late. She should have gotten the pattern to me sooner. :oP

4. Having a running buddy makes me actually get out and run. We did a great job today!

5. Spring. It's been delightful--pollen excluded. I'm hoping it hangs around just a little bit longer before the awfulness of summer arrives.

6. My humming birds are returning. I've seen the male a couple of times and a female or two. They're not around too much yet, but they're making their presence known.

No milestones.
However, I failed to mention the other night how much I missed having Hannah and having her make a first communion. :sigh: I'm good most of the time and then Lil hits a milestone Han never did or will.
