Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stockholm

I know what you’re thinking. The photographs in this post started off smoothly with ALTEWAISAOME’s clean and sophisticated spring/summer 2014 collection, and then BAM!, it’s Bea Szenfeld’s surreal designs made out of paper. Yes, you read right, PAPER.

I never really knew about Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stockholm until I saw photographs posted by three well-known bloggers on my Instagram timeline. What caught my eye was Bea Szenfeld’s “Haute Papier” collection (obviously). Having previously worked with established fashion designers such as Stella McCartney and Tommy Hilfiger, I was slightly confused as to why Szenfeld showcased unwearable clothes. Or is this purely art? I thought about it and then I was like, who gives a damn? I LOVE Bea Szenfeld for doing something unique and cutting edge – because at the end of the day it’s a fashion show. Why should she have to explain herself? I am eager to see what Szenfeld thinks up next.
