butter LONDON Molly Coddled

I know I keep bashing the 2014 color of the year; Radiant Orchid. I just don’t LIKE it. Or at least I thought I didn’t like it. Enter butter LONDON Molly Coddled. I discovered Molly Coddled when I was putting together my Spring 2014 Must Have Polishes post. So when Ulta had their 2 for $15 butter LONDON sale I picked it up (along with Lucy in the Sky).

butter LONDON describes Molly Coddled as a lavender orchid cream. That’s a pretty fancy way of saying Molly Coddled is a pale pink leaning purple cream. The color is very subtle and chic. Dare I say I found a polish in the radiant orchid color range that I love!?

As with most butter LONDON polishes, the formula is fantastic. I used just two coats in my swatches.

While I was wearing Molly Coddled I couldn’t help but feel like I had something at least similar in my stash. I pulled Essie Nice is Nice, SinfulColors Beverly Hills and Essie Lilacism out of my Melmers and found that Beverly Hills was the closest to Molly Coddled. Beverly Hills has a bit more pink in it but it gives a similar look on the nail.

If you have Beverly Hills in your stash, or you can find Beverly Hills (it’s available on Amazon), I would consider passing on Molly Coddled. SinfulColors polishes retail for $2 which looks pretty nice compared to the $15 butter LONDON price tag.

That being said, if you’re just itching to get your hands on Molly Coddled it can be found on Ulta.com as well as Amazon.
